What is permanent makeup for lips?
Permanent makeup for lips is a modern cosmetic technique that delivers natural results and serves to emphasize and visually highlight the lips.
By introducing long-lasting pigments into the upper skin layers of the lips, the natural lip color can be enhanced and the contours emphasized. However, this innovative treatment does not allow for enlarging the lips by extending the pigment beyond the natural lip border, as this represents a flaw in the pigmentation art and does not appear aesthetically pleasing.

The results of modern permanent makeup for lips are more durable and can last several years, depending on the technique and individual factors. Advanced techniques produce particularly natural and harmonious results that accentuate your beauty while respecting the natural boundaries of the lips.

To optimally prepare for the permanent makeup procedure for lips, you should follow several steps:

-
Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or vitamin E for about 48 hours before the procedure to minimize the risk of bleeding and swelling.
-
Refrain from consuming caffeinated drinks and foods like coffee, Coca-Cola, or energy drinks for at least 48 hours prior to the appointment.
-
Drink at least 3 liters of water per day in the three days leading up to the procedure to optimally hydrate your skin.
-
Use a good lip care product in the days before the procedure to keep your lips soft and supple.
-
Avoid sunbathing or tanning beds for at least two weeks before the appointment to prevent skin irritation and pigment shifts.
-
Avoid chemical peels, laser treatments, or other skin-irritating treatments in the facial area for at least two weeks before the procedure.
-
Remove any makeup from your lips before the appointment.
-
Make sure you allocate enough time for the procedure and arrive at the appointment relaxed.
The healing process after permanent makeup treatment for lips: What to expect

Immediately following the permanent makeup procedure for lips, they may appear swollen. However, the swelling subsides within a few hours after the procedure. The color of the lips appears very intense immediately after the procedure, even if a very light and natural shade has been used. During the healing process, which lasts about 8 weeks, the color will become significantly lighter.

During the healing process, the lips change daily. In the first three days after the procedure, the top layer of skin comes off, and the lips may form flaky crusts. Thanks to careful aftercare and the recommendations from our expert Karolina Wojdyla, the lips heal quickly and efficiently.

After about 8 weeks, a so-called touch-up or supplemental procedure should be performed to optimize the pigmentation. This will correct any irregularities and give the lips their final, natural, and even appearance. It is important to follow Karolina Wojdyla's instructions closely and adhere to aftercare guidelines to achieve optimal results.
